<<Observer, COMDEX and the new product rollouts should provide some interesting trading opportunities.>>

In late 1995 Syquest announced the SyJet. At MacWorld 1996 the drive was not functional and displayed under a glass box and guarded closely with no questions answered by staff. One year later or so the SyJet was finally released.

So now in two weeks (after announcing the products a little earlier this year) they will have functional models at COMDEX? My bet is that they will be under glass and be given "a later this year" date for shipping, which will be optimistic. This opinion is based on past performance. It takes months and months of beta testing and R&D iterations to create reliable new products and cash to market and ramp them up in volume. Syquest has little of either.

We shall see if these products will be "rolled out" and are real or vapor in order to simply get more cash from stock volatility (hyping).
