Sdgla, you make me laugh. I was at a dog show this last weekend and one of my friends introduced me to a guy he knew. The guy had a USMC cap on and I asked him how he got in that club. It turns out he was in Vietnam a couple of years after me. He saw his share of combat, has his nightmares and made a good life for himself as an insurance actuarial guy...very bright, very articulate and very patriotic. Unfortunately, like so many of us who understand the realities of war, he's a "moral coward" too. He's so cowardly he simply can't understand how using bullets is going to stop the spread of extremist ideas, protect "moderate" Muslims who don't have the will or the guts to protect themselves or give us the John Wayne, Pollyanna victory that Hawkmoon and you so naively pray for. Maybe guys like he and I need the moral backbone and sage advice of so many of you chickenhawks...or maybe you're full of shit. Ed PS, at least Hawkmoon has the fortitude to put his ideas out there while you just ankle bite from the sidelines.
