If they like Chomsky, they are certainly sympathetic to an anti-American and communist viewpoint since thats the essence of everything he says or writes (outside the field of linguistics).
So what do you do, call him a Communist (good lord that is so ignorant of you)
Not at all. He is clearly a small c communist. I base that on his writings and on his record of defending the Soviet Union, Communist Viet Nam, the Khmer Rouge, the Serbian Milosevic regime ...... and on and on.
Heven defended the Khmer Rouge when the massacre stories started getting out of Cambodia. He denounced them as false propaganda. He did the same re the Serbian atrocities at Srbenicia.
and just hate him. He is brillant, so naturally you would hate him. You hate all brillant people.
I hate his anti-American ideas. I hate his propaganda for evil murderous regimes. I hate his lying about America - in the fall of 2001 right after 911 he made a speaking tour of India and Pakistan claiming the US was planning on committing genocide against Afghans and killing 3-4 million of them. Lies this despicable deserve to be called evil.

.... If Saddam is a monster,” the student went on, “what does it matter, actually, who is going to get rid of him? If you look at the Second World War, the alliance with Stalin was also not a very nice thing, but it was absolutely necessary.” ... ------------------------------------------------- “The Second World War is a slightly different story,” Chomsky continued. “The United States and Britain fought the war, of course, but not primarily against Nazi Germany. The war against Nazi Germany was fought by the Russians. The German military forces were overwhelmingly on the Eastern front.”
“But the world was better off,” the student persisted.
“First of all, you have to ask yourself whether the best way of getting rid of Hitler was to kill tens of millions of Russians. Maybe a better way was not supporting him in the first place, as Britain and the United States did. OK? But you’re right, it has nothing to do with motives - it has to do with expectations. And actually if you’re interested in expectations there’s more to say. By Stalingrad in 1942, the Russians had turned back the German offensive, and it was pretty clear that Germany wasn’t going to win the war. Well, we’ve learned from the Russian archives that Britain and the US then began supporting armies established by Hitler to hold back the Russian advance. Tens of thousands of Russian troops were killed. Suppose you’re sitting in Auschwitz. Do you want the Russian troops to be held back?” paulbogdanor.com
It is of course a complete lie that the US and Britain supported Hitler against the Soviet Union.

I disagree with Chomsky on a lot of things, but he is no communist. He just understands the world in a much more sophisticated way than most people.
People thought Einstein and Darwin were nuts, until they understood what they were saying.
You live in a world of ignorance and defend that world with every breath in your body and I feel sorry for you.
Chomsky is a lying man filled with hatred for the US. Of course he's a communist. Who else would defend Stalin, Milsevic and Pol Pot? Who else would accuse America and Britain of aiding Hitler against Russia? |
