Made some chicken/veggie/barley soup tonight. Last night was making the broth from the bones and carrots, onion and celery. Tossed all of that away today after letting it sit there all afternoon. Then added new veggies and precooked barley and chunks of chicken to the broth today, along with some fresh rosemary. It really smells good and tastes good too. Tomorrow may be soup or maybe chicken and dumplings. Or might freeze it for another day. Always feels so good when you make another meal while cooking today's ....<ggg>
