Interesting. The purchase of those 3 tiny companies made sense from a publicity standpoint since their revenues have been included without comment by places like Briefing.com.

Traditional market plan of a high-flyer (see AOL, Yahoo):

Step 1: Increase revenues as much as possible no matter what the cost.

Step 2: Use economies of scale to decrease costs to the point at which you are profitable.

Of course, nobody seems to ever get to Step 2, but that doesn't prevent people from getting excited about it.

Oh well, just means we all can short more.
