174 PA/8,000 WW Johnson & Johnson to cut 174 in Spring House Philadelphia Business Journal
Pharmaceutical and consumer health-care products giant Johnson & Johnson will lay off 174 at its Spring House, Pa., site, according to a notice it filed with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Workforce Development.
A company (NYSE:JNJ) spokeswoman confirmed the number of planned layoffs, which are slated for Jan. 8.
The New Brunswick, N.J., company said last week that Johnson & Johnson’s Radnor and Chesterbrook, Pa., facilities will close and be consolidated at its Spring House, Montgomery County, campus, home of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development. It also said last week that it will cut 8,000 of its 117,000 jobs worldwide.
