gold does plenty good as it forestalls thieving inflation and wasting deflation, both borne of stupidity of wastrel monetary and political authorities

and that all-bad-monetary-weather function, saving savings, is gold's destined role since beginning of politicians and money

so, it could just be that the author you fawningly referenced has not a clue n what was, is and will be, and will in time waste away, deservingly so, per biblical justice
