The Republicans have been all about blocking health reform. Yes, I agree that they have one or two ideas, that don't amount to a hill of beans. They have never been for Healthcare Reform, otherwise we wouldn't be waiting 60 years for it.
I used to be in the healthcare industry.
How would you like to tell a farmer that his policy was rejected, and that his entire life's work and legacy was at risk if he ever had a bad tractor accident, because you couldn't get him approved, just because he had a mental health issue once? Or tell a pre-medicare Senior that she just has to wait 5 years to get sick, because her premiums were greater than her refinanced mortgage?
How about denying a whole small company of 10 employees, because one applicant was considered too risky?
Of course, you get to tie up their premium money while they wait to be turned down again.
Next time you talk to your Canadian friend ask him how many unnecessary tests Doctors have to perform there, because patients don't qualify for surgery until you become much worse. Ask him how many insurance companies make decisions to deny his health care treatment, over the Doctor's orders.
Then ask him how many Canadians have had their lives ruined, their jobs lost, their homes repossessed, their children going hungry, because someone made the SIN of getting cancer in his family. Did that ever happen to you, or have you not suffered yet, like the children did for Jesus?
Your description of people with healthcare in Canada and England being displeased, is not only laughable, it's an engineered FOX NEWS lie, that you bought hook, line and sinker, without complaint. You equate Canada to a 3rd world country. Are you that gullible that you believe everything people tell you, as long as you can compartmentalize it into an inflexible, uninquiring, rigid way of thinking? Does that make you feel safer? Have you ever known real need?
