There are a few things that make me a little cautious about gold for the near term (3-6 months).

1. I found myself listening to Lassonde the way a true believer would harken to an evangelist preacher.

2. I find myself congratulating myself too often.

3. The sudden appearance of certain well-known SI cranks on gold-focussed threads.

4.That story about gold on the front of the business section of the Sunday NY Times.

I may consider raising some cash, not because I have the slightest confidence in the U.S. dollar, but just to be in a position to buy anything that looks really cheap.

But I have not decided yet whether to do this or just continue to sit tight.
