I agree that the risk period is not over yet, is it ever ? But I was very surprised not to see a sell-off. This tells me that there are many confident investors going into Monday's open. I expect more volatilty in the short term, but don't expect to see stocks stay at these prices too
long. The government wants to see steady growth in the market and will do everything in it's power to help out the market. Look at Clinton reassuring the American people that the economy is fine and not to be worried. You have to have these uneasy times every once in a while to keep investors honest. You can't have the market going straight up.
This is just a breather and an oppurtunity to buy at great prices again. People have to lose money for others to make money. And people who have weak stomachs lost alot in the last week.
