We should work towards cutting taxes (at least after we cut spending growth and reign in the deficit) because its the right thing to do, and because its good for the economy, not to keep conservatives happy.

But the highlighted part is impossible. It will only happen when the country is completely broke, like California, when there is no one left who will lend government money.

That is the path we are on, and Obama brought the day a reckoning forward.

Obama is proposing the deficit to be 13% of the GDP. What EU considers to be a sound economy is one where deficit is below 3% of GDP. If the Obama asked for the entry into Euro, he would be laughed at...

While this is going on, the spending is on a trajectory far surpassing the growth of GDP, and Obama's policies make the gap greater...
