We should work towards cutting taxes (at least after we cut spending growth and reign in the deficit) because its the right thing to do, and because its good for the economy, not to keep conservatives happy.

But the highlighted part is impossible. It will only happen when the country is completely broke, like California, when there is no one left who will lend government money.

That is the path we are on, and Obama brought the day a reckoning forward.

What Obama did was what every major nation in the world did to avert economic collapse. I know you ideologues think you know what's best economically but economists throughout the world agreed that every nation had to stimulate their economy to avert disaster. And who caused this unprecedented economic crisis......mostly private industry in the US run by Rs.

Obama is proposing the deficit to be 13% of the GDP. What EU considers to be a sound economy is one where deficit is below 3% of GDP. If the Obama asked for the entry into Euro, he would be laughed at...

Yes, well I find that real interesting because when I was yelling that Bush was spending the US into oblivion.....two wars, tax cuts to the rich, pork like it was going out of style....not one of you ideologue wackadoodles said a word. Not one of you.
