So say you sell the 2012 $100 calls - big spread, but maybe you could get near $4.50 for them. If the deal fails because of regulatory/finance risks, I think you are good, as BNI should go down. If Berkshire stock soars above the collar, then I think the way the deal works is that more people will elect shares and the option holders will be stuck with $100 cash. (Have to check that is actually the case).

So the only real risk if the above analysis is correct is that someone else steps in with a competing offer. That seems pretty remote to me.
