There is no theory. Obama's appointments in the realm of finance have been big disappointments. Its no accident that gold and silver keep making new highs and the dollar keeps dropping. I wonder what will happen after the recipients of the bailouts get their multi-million dollar bonuses and start shorting their recommended lists and the market reverts back to reality. I see jacob frankel a highly respected international economist has announced his retirement from aig. I think he is leaving a sinking ship, and I find the stories i am reading about the recently unemployed sobering. people who should know better are slow to cut their spending and lifestyles down to match their lack of income and suddenly are facing middle age and kids growing up on reduced incomes with no savings and much debt in many cases.
