I was pleased to find it...We owe our Veterans of all Wars our Country and our lives. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here today.
BTW, Applebee's has a free dinner today for each Vet with ID, and I heard that Outback does as well. Call to check your local restaurants first.
Another aside...I was researching the other night one of my 2GreatGrandfathers who died in the Civil War. He was from County Tyrone, Ireland, came to Niagara Co, NY (here by 1835-1840), and entered the 105th Regt Infantry NY in March, 1862. He was about 59 years old...Have NO idea why he decided to join the Union forces at that age, but he did...he was a teamster (drove a wagon), was sent to VA, is buried in Old Alexandria City cemetery, VA. From researching that Regiment, I think he would have been in the battle of Cedar Mountain, got sick, and died in the hospital at Alexandria.
