Fortunately the Navy appeared to succeed more often then not giving those kids a chance at a real life. I'm convinced that one of the reasons that liberals hate the military so much is because it has one of the very best training programs around. I'm sure that it irks them to no end that most come out of the military with a conservative bent. Just think of the number of wise ass punks the military has made productive and responsible. Course, there were failures, some people just don't want to be helped but for the most part it's pretty cool seeing people turn their lives around.
