25 years ago or so, all of the innovation came from California. That was when it was fun to go to San Francisco, ride the trolley cars and go to the Embarcadero.

We in the East saw the success in California and knew that new innovations come from West to East-----.

Now we see the financial collapse of California and adjacent states and ask what went wrong there.

Can other states stem the tide that is washing from West to East?

And, can we stem the tide that is emanating from Obama and his administration. Daily more banks go down. Gold rises as the real hedge. Obama attempts to control everything that moves while not effectly controlling much. We witness more Pelosi daily.

Yes it will be painful for those state employees to lose jobs. Perhaps that is the best thing as we get people out from desks and computers and functioning in the real world of physical work.

Of course, there is another solution---------the public firms can bring those telephone jobs home from India, the Phillipines and South America and employ Americans.

They can employ the paper shufflers of the Government in electronic paper shuffling for private/public firms.
