You have it backward, Mq. Conventional thinking is bounded by lack of imagination: that's why it's conventional. It's in unconventional thought where we find creativity, and the exercise of intellect.

Ah! Then a succession of wars, economic cycles, famines, bubbles, migrations, plagues, ideologies, religions and world orders was created by ingenuity, not historical forces? And such historical phenomena repeat, because repetition is ingenious? Fashioned entirely by human volition and intellect, without other causation?
And if, perchance, we are revisited by a pandemic, a worldwide economic meltdown, a new global ideology or a life-destroying asteroid, to which ingenious humans shall we mail our complaints?
