"first terrorist attack on US soil since September 11, 2001 ..." Technically if we're going to count terrorist attacks by lone individuals ... and why shouldn't we ..... we have had a number of these. Thinking off the top of my head: A Muslim went into a Jewish community center in WA and shot several people. A Muslim in the southwest shot several people in a mall. Muslims drove cars into crowds in NC and San Francisco. A Muslim shot two people outside an Army recruitment office in Little Rock. The John Allen Muhammed shootings were all terror attacks by him and his young companion. Someone shot two guys outside a synagogue in Los Angles last week ... want to bet it was a Muslim. I'm sure there are a bunch more. Low-grade, unorganized one-on-one jihad is going on all the time.
