Oh yes, the GOP was loving it when they had absolute power through the first 6 years of Bush Jr's Presidency. Now they are acting like spoiled kids who have been put in timeout. Good riddance. The Dems now have to clean up 8 years of mess that Bush left behind. And what a large mess it is. A destroyed economy, two wars to bring to a close, a reputation in tatters, rising health care costs due to Bush Jr's expensive Medicare Prescription drug plan, and large deficits due in large part to the two tax cuts, the two wars, and the economic mess that Bush initiated.

We simply can't afford the GOP anymore. When we were rich and had low amounts of debt we could afford to have the GOP mismanage our country. But not anymore. We're almost bankrupt. We simply can't afford the GOP anymore. It's time for the grownups to stay in power for awhile.
