Of course none of that addresses nor debunks my assertion, but I'll adress the post anyway:

<"It is the penetration of the ovum by a spermatozoan and resultant mingling of the nuclear material that each brings to the union that constitutes the culmination of the process of fertilization and marks the initiation of the life of a new individual.">

Of course it marks the "initiation"... so? Prophase (of mitosis) marks the "initation" all the cells in the body... so? It doesn't mean that the beginning of replication marks a new viable cell anymore than fertilization suddenly creates a new viable person.

< "The beginning of a single human life is from a biological point of view a simple and straightforward matter - the beginning is conception.">

Right.. the beginning is the beginning. So?

How is all that happening... this 'beginning' and of course development?? Huh? The mothers body IS THE ENVIRONMENT to that fertilzed egg without which nothing would happen, including the beginning. Her physiology is it's physiology... it doesn't have a separate physiology... She is her baby and the baby is her.

Every one of those sources would agree. Bet they're all pro choice too. -ggg-
