well, if some 'govermental' took a notion, prestige wouldn't matter.

I'd like to see a map of the entire country and see where clinics are... almost nevermind private family docs, though that counts. but clinics. where can people get care? in an urban area, you'd need to track the population density next to the clinic coverage, in somewhere like Montana, the miles to get there. that is quite possible to do.

also, universal care will cut down ER use to some degree, but without other outlets to go to care... not so much. a poor person with the cheap product still will be unlikely to have a 'personal' private doc. same for areas with large dead space (Montana etc). I'm really serious about clinics. very serious.

from graduation from high school I have never had a private doc. and you don't just get sick and call a doc in the yellow pages. don't work that way.
