I believe the Feds are powerless to counteract the runaway entitlement spending that we're about to see over the next decade. They'll raise interest rates but that will just screw over anyone trying to buy a home, a car, or carry balances on their credit cards. Meanwhile the idiots in Washington will continue spending like drunken sailors, thinking that their constituents are in chronic need of handouts.

The only alternative besides trying to live within our means is to boost domestic production and ensure that the economic recovery isn't driven by consumption like it has been over the past two decades. And at the minimum, that would take some real market-friendly policies that I frankly wouldn't bet on while Obama is in office.

All IMO.
