You all have very creative imaginations. Fortunately for Sandisk, you're way off target.

Most of you think this technology breakthrough deals with building a better mousetrap....Specifically, building a better cell phone (perhaps one with computing capabilities). The fact is, Siemens is building a better mousetrap, only the product they're improving isn't cell phones, IT'S COMPUTERS.

Siemens' new technology turns your personal computer into a cell phone. In a nutshell, Sandisk and Siemens have developed a "cell phone card" that can be inserted into the 3.5" drive of your current computer. This will enable you to log onto the internet from most anywhere without traditional phone wires, without special hook ups, and without the hassles.

The great thing about this is that this new "cell phone card" is compatible with most every computer on the market today. Granted, future computers, especially notebooks, are likely to have new customized features that will enhance the benefits, such as impoved speakers and receivers.

In a couple of years, you'll see the "notepad" computer market competing directly against cell phone makers....Why would someome buy a basic cell phone when they can get a computer with cell phone capabilities and a lot more?

This breakthrough, depending on how much info. they release on Wednesday, should drive SNDK's stock price up $5 or so next week. Depending on the "fine print" of their financial agreement, the stock could go up $20. While I'm familiar with the technology side, I know little about the legal aspects.

Time to load up.

Good luck.
