A money number people like to throw up is lost productivity from people out sick for this or that, or underpreforming due to not being at their best. I don't recall seeing that as part of the equation in UHC. I don't see how a healthier population through everyone being covered couldn't have a positive effect on productivity and less days off work. All around... how could a healthier population not be a net positive? UFC would be a boon for me. there's no denying it would lift a worry, but what I can not imagine is what that worry must feel like to people raising a family who know they are an illness away or a broken ankle away from being seriously screwed. something goes wrong for me, it's just me, I don't have children to be affected by it. It's difficult for me to figure out how the 'big govt' talk re healthcare works in the south. and the poll Tejek posted shows to me that somehow we are just messing up on the presentation down here.
