Just follow the posts back. That's what was posted here, or you can just go quickly to the editorial that was discussed by following this link nytimes.com The editorial thinks the amendment was a horrible idea. The blog post gormogons.com was a response to the editorial, and thus to the idea of the bill without the amendment, not the the bill as currently structured.
