The best solution would have been to temporarily suspend payroll taxes (FICA). That seems incomplete and simplistic to me...it would only benefit people who have a job and there would be no way to determine or incent that additional money to be spent. I am not buying. The current deficit and government spending as percentage of GDP is at levels not seen since WWII: We have not seen a crisis like this since the depression. In any case, what are we talking about? $780B...as I have shown you in the data I posted already the rest is momentum from the past administration. The difference between then and now is that the survival of free world was at stake then, and at one point, it was going to be over. Conjures images of Paulson on his knees to congress...think about it. ...and Obama is going to make things even worse in the future, with his health "reform" How?
