It isn't the criticism that bothers me. It is the action (or in some cases, inaction).

The UN is an ineffectual piece of crap. Just look at the UN during the Bush years, when every effort to stop Iran's enrichment was met with stubborn idiocy from Old Europe. It is a perfect example of what happens when the US tries to work through the community of nations. You get utter chaos. And it is even worse now that we have an incompetent administration! At least Bush was able to get SOME important things done early on.

The problem is you assume everything the US does is right or good. That's not true. Iraq is the classic case. "Old Europe" opposed us because they knew it was not the proper course but Bush refused to listen because he had a preconceived agenda.

We are a democracy within the world. The world itself is NOT a democracy and must be run by the superpowers who have the ability and will to lead.

However, the UN is a democracy. You don't encourage democracy by taking your marbles home every time you don't agree.

You can't give everyone a vote in world government. Even the UN concept recognizes this much. But there must be one power which is willing to say, "This is the way it is going to be and if someone doesn't like it, f*ck them".

This is a small planet. We can no longer operate unilaterally..........if we ever could. If this planet is to survive, we need to learn to work together.
