the one fact that we keep coming up against is the fact that usa population is growing, without taking a/c of the experimental nature of the never before tried internal dynamics

highly uncertain

and experiments rarely work out as expected

so the odds are against working out, by definition

when folks refer back to american history as a relevant factor in whatever could come next, all 233 years of it, i keep looking for another thomas jefferson, and yet i see none, and

more important, i do not exactly see the system producing a thomas jefferson, for that time is long past, and the system is really more amenable to producing scores of palin and bernanke and obama and bush

i am interested in the reception obama will get at the china town-hall meeting presumably populated with chinese university students, for that will be telling either way

let us watch and brief

the beijing authorities are nervous that obama will get the same reception as geithner earlier did, a good laugh

my view on the future would dramatically change should usa do a simple and straightforward systemic default, then there would be cause for hope, else the desire for change is simply not sincere
