I too thought that Obama should have had this jobs summit early on. I used what Bill Clinton did to form my opinion. BUt giving Obama the benefit of the doubt, I have come around to the idea that Obama faced a larger economic problem than Clinton did when they assumed office.

I thunk, Obama first aimed for steadying the economy by preventing the free fall of the banking system and other economic infrastructure such as home mortgage etc. They seem to have steadied for now and I would say Obama still has the time to gain from a jobs summit even at this late stage.
