Dear Scott,

1. I liked VXtreme before Microsoft bought it. They had some interesting links from their web site that seemed to provide better quality than I had seen elsewhere. In the longer term if MS bundles the video player with Netshow and the next operating system, then lots of people will have the player.

2. RealNetworks should make it a priority to solidify a Netscape/Sun relationship, if they are to sustain any competitive advantage. But because they need to make a deal, I wonder how profitable it will/would be?

3. Yes about your Pointcast comments. And maybe Pointcast is going to focus more on corporate Intranets. Also, if I ever get around to doing IE 4.0 then I suppose it could automatically dial at night and get all the downloads. I turned the Pointcast screensaver off because there seemed to be some conflicts with its newer version -- I probably could figure it out if I wanted to.

Francis

P.S. Wasn't GTE testing ADSL over year ago? I think US West was also. I have been kind of surprised by how slow the ADSL roll-out has been.
