So many what ifs. We live in a dangerous world.......we can not make it 100% safe. We need to accept that very importnt fact and move on. And more importantly, we can't afford to police the world. If we just pull out of Afghanistan then we'll have to just forget about Somalia, Yemen, Palestine and any other place where TERRORISTS get together to plot our destruction. Maybe the Taliban would just go back in there and throw acid on little girls and treat women like cattle and we wouldn't have to worry about it, but let's say Al Queada goes back in there too and gets back their "safe haven"? We would just ignore it? What if the NEXT time they came up with enough nuke material to kill millions rather than the 3000 on 9/11?
