We had a similar situation here. The Denver Dry Goods was a Denver legend for what seems like an eternity. They had a wonderful Christmas display all along their ground floor windows. The "Denver Tea Room" was THE place to meet during any day downtown. Sadly, all that ended many years ago when the store closed. They didn't tear the building down, but I don't know what's in there now. Seems like I saw some talk of condominiums but I'm not sure.
