One of the funniest - and least valid - arguments against our impending healthcare reform is that members of Congress should be subject to the same insurance. Does anyone seriously think that a Congressman with ANY insurance would get inferior treatment? No chance. They're the bosses, they're the VIP's. And it will be even more so after they take on even more powers.

In some form, differences in quality and access are inevitable. I wish we could, but we can't all drive Maseratis and fly first class. I'd rather see some degree of rationing based on the person's pocketbook than on his political connections -- which is the way things get done under socialism.
