I think you will get much better results if you eliminate the sugar, wheat and corn. The less carbs, the better. That is what turns into fat.

We made the mistake decades ago of thinking that the fat and cholestoral we eat end up as fat and cholesterol in our blood.

As a rule of thumb, don't buy anything to eat that says, "diet," "low fat" or "heart healthy" on it. Exception is plain Oatmeal.
