It is easy to see that the recession sliding to its depth coincided perfectly with American business coming to understand that we were about to see an extremist liberal elected. Every business person I know was worried more about Obama getting elected than they were whatever else was going on with the economy. Because we knew what Obama would try to do. The good news is he has lost his political capital quickly, and he could be a lame duck within months. If we can just block the takeover of health care for a few more months, Obama's waterloo may be over.
