In a command economy people need to adapt to what the government
does to them in order to prosper or just survive.

For example, in Soviet Union many joined the Communist Party.
No, not because they believed in the greater good of Communism
First, because the commies grabbed the oil cash and shopped
in special shops, where, unlike other shops, there were goods.
Second, in order not to get killed by KGB.

The crisis happened when there was nothing to loot anymore,
and even the special shops got empty.
Kinda like the situation here today. Then former commies
grabbed state assets for nothing and became new capitalists, the
oligarkhs, organizing the collapse of the country.

Here they grabbed our assets already. Now we are waiting
for the collapse of the country. -ng-

This seems totally weird to Americans, but America is not
what it used to be, it is actually a command economy now.
Moreover, the Fed is getting even more power, not less.
