From the Questions for SI Bob thread - a response from SI BOB

LOL...Gotcha, Bob..

Wanna *really* feel old?

Trying being me at Go2Net, InfoSpace, and ADVFN.

You just don't see a lot of gray beards at dotcoms.

Not uncommon to see people with so many piercings it looks like they fell down the stairs while carrying a tackle box in one hand and a box of Christmas ornaments in the other.

Imagine how it feels to ask a large group of limeys how intensely proud they must've felt to be English when 4 young lads set the whole of the US of A into a tizzy called Beatlemania.

Blank stares then a person I really thought was about my age said something to the effect of "Mate, you're probably the only person in the room who was alive at the time."

At Go2Net, when I'd occasionally make an appearance, few could hide their fascination with the fact that I was so ancient and despite my not having asked, I was told many times that I was, by far, the oldest person in the company.

I was in my late 30's and early 40's. A pup in retrospect much like I'm sure I'm a pup in your eyes.

I have to ask, though. Was the introduction of the motorcar as mind-blowing as I'd think it would've been? hehe
