"Being crammd down our throats." That is the price you pay for living in a democracy. What the right wing fails to understand is their obligation to the "social contract" in a democracy. We have the highest costs and are 37th in the world in health care. 45 million do not have any health insurance; and the insurance lobby is ripping off our society. In a democracy the people have the right to vote to decide to distribute health care as they wish. In the past kings, queens and dictators did that, or did not do that. We are the only industrialized nation without health care. The Republican party only cares about big business and nothing of the working man. That is why health care was not at the top of their list. The insurance companies would have suffered at the expense of the people. I watched my family sell off most of their land to pay for medical bills in old age. >>Hello Koan Why wasn't it at the top of their agenda? Its not on the top of the a great number of peoples agendas. Rather it is being crammed down our throats. However if it is going to happen, lets do it right. Regards Neil
