a real cave. people come from all over Alabama to go thru it. the ropes are fraying now, which makes the scaling parts a tad more exciting (will it or won't it break).

when you enter, the initial area is large, wide and high. they carved raised table areas along the sides and at the back of that area they carved out a raised band sitting area, and the main area was used for dancing.

then there are places you climb to that branch off into small areas where the more serious gambling took place.

this vid doesn't really do it justice, imo, but it's okay. the French family owns it. they are really good neighbors and people. they are a lil picky about who wanders where to do what on their land, but are open to hikers and people on horseback. and they leave the cave alone for people to visit.
