yes, smoothsail is my mom. My sister was born in Bishop, CA. Smoothsail and my Dad (BigD) met at Mammoth Mtn when smoothsail was on the ski team and BigD was managing the Mammoth Mtn inn (early 60s). The winter of 62/63 was particularly harsh and the young couple of Smoothsail and BigD moved their young daughter and multicellular son (me) to Los Angeles.

Smoothsail is quite accomplished in a number of areas...sailing, skiing, music, art. Many adventures growing up with smoothsail.
