but US health care is on the bleeding edge. It costs more, but it is what causes technological development to occur. Without it, technology will stagnate.

I'm confused. You want medicine to operate at the bleeding edge in order to push development and advancement. But yesterday you opposed computerizing medical records because we're too far ahead of the curve. I was forced to counter to make the point that development and advancement wouldn't occur if we backed away from the bleeding edge. So why do you see value in the bleeding edge in medical advancement but not in computer system advancement?
