If you need a tasting while in LA, try this place. wineaccess.com They have regular classes, plus a tasting room with what looks to be about 30 wines to taste for nominal prices. THey used to have a wine tasting every Friday evening, with food, but it's been years since I went so I don't know if they are still doing it. Check the class schedule to see if they have one you are interested in. If you get bored with looking at their selection, just down the street is this place: 2020wines.com I don't think they do tastings, but it's a very nice shop.
