A smart president would have waited on Europe to take the lead. They are more vulnerable, but bush wanted to go to war, so they just sat back and let us spend all our money and military. But it is very important to understand bush was doing it for money i.e. the military industrial complex and the oil fields. Bush and cheney are a sociopathic idiots like Palin. >>It's not just the U.S. or even predominantly the U.S. that's going to get hit if Al Quaeda gets to set up shop again. It's the Europeans that are going to get the BRUNT of it and we have to start SAYING that publicly. I think it's absurd that we have to carry ALL the water in this deal when NATO has MORE at stake than we do. The Russians couldn't win in Afghanistan but that's only reasonable since the Pakistani's and US were doing everything we could to beat them. Things are a LOT different now and we can change the scenario radically if we just show some determination.
