This is what America is all about. If our elected government becomes corrupt, we as people have the right to overthrow the government.
But what about non-democratic governments, the leaders of which have publicly stated they want to destroy the US and kill Americans??
They have all the weapons and their people can't overthrow them without external support (guns, money..etc).
What we're doing is little different than what France did when they backed the Patriots over the English Tories during the revolution. Our country, OUR DEMOCRACY, would not likely exist today without that external support.

Everything belonged to the Sultan, and any property rights were granted via royal decree. Thus, when the Ottoman Empire fell, so did any legal claims that were manifested via that government.
And BTW, Jews were living there LONG BEFORE the Ottomans and other Muslims. Muslims INVADED that territory and the Jews fled or were submitted to Dhimmitude.
And when the British administered the region after WWI, they were not particularly pro-Jewish. Thus, they forced the Jews to either purchase land from Arabs with dubious claims, or settle unoccupied land.
That's also generally been the policy, as I understand it, of the contemporary Israeli government regarding the West Bank. They permit settlement of unoccupied land that was owned, AND ABANDONED, by the Hashimites in 1989. That's why the Palestinian Authority was only permitted to govern over populated areas in the West Bank, and NOT unoccupied areas.
Until the PA recognizes the right of Israel to exist, they cannot be trusted to be legitimate negotiating parties to a Palestinian state. Any deal they make is invalid in their eyes because they refuse to recognize Israel.
The Christian Germans committed atrocities against the Jews, why should the Palestinians pay the price?
