As I said, China doesn't give two shits about the pollution they are causing, except when it gets in the way of making money. Don't you remember how much money they are spent on the 2008 Olympics in trying to figure out how to clean up the environment before the masses arrived? Now they are one of the fastest growing in terms of installed solar and wind power plants. That's no accident. They are spending bigs bucks because they need to power their economy with any and all energy sources they can get their hands on. In addition, they realize they may be able to move up the tech and scale curves faster than anyone else and thus become a supplier to the world. China couldn't care less about the environment, but they care about money and they are beating us at our own game. We have dominated capitalism, but they are now beating us at it.
