Hugh is a wingnut. That means he won't acknowledge that he screwed up. He will try to spin it, maybe with caps, to try to show that he was right all along.

But your formula has an error. The K should be C or Celsius. Or maybe centigrade, depending on your nomenclature. Still, each degree K or C is 1.8 degrees F.

My mental formula for C to F is double it, subtract 10% and add 32. For K, add 273. While not exact, it is pretty close.
