Mark, why do people think Ascend is a great company? The reason is that it was a momentum stock for a very long time and was supported by big mutual fund buyers, not the small folks. I have seen momentum stocks taken down to size and Ascend feels like the others I have watched go down. It will be volatile all the way down because it still is a highly traded stock. It still appears to me to have much room in its deflation. I still haven't bought Ascend. I think CS at 26 is a far better bet in the risk/reward at the moment. Ascend though is in my watch list. I evaluate it daily and sometimes hourly. I can change my mind on a dime if I get the feeling it is time to move on it. Thus is the life of a trader and a stategic portfolio builder.
