I think I can safely call folks who burn people as witches "nutjobs". Some opinions, based on superstition and fear, are nutty. I realize there are folks who are completely in to relative values. Me, while I recognize relative values, I still say some values are nutty. I'm not willing to live in a totalitarian society that crushes the nutjobs, but I'm not willing to dignify nutjobbyness by saying it's not nutty.

When something is proven to be objectively wrong, clinging to it anyway is nutty, imo. I don't care what precedent there is for the nutty belief. The folks who burned witches at LEAST have the excuse of being very very ignorant, and of having very little science at their disposal- not to mention the very high rates of illiteracy at the time.
