I know this is China's century, but I have trouble investing heavily in markets where I am one of the least informed investors, and where I think many of the businesses are ethically challenged.

Given my past experiences with both American and Chinese companies, I'd rather own a cheap stock with a semi-honest management then a super-cheap stock with corrupt management, and it is easier for me to ascertain semi-honest management in the US.

That being said, there is probably something to buying a basket of Chinese value stocks on big market pullbacks, because you have basically a call option on improved sentiment on China. It reminds me back in 2002/2003 when you could buy these net-net tech companies and then saw huge gains when sentiment in tech improved.
